Send 7-day and 10-day unexcused absence letter to parents
Facilitate Truancy Hearings
Draft and file criminal complaints in Magistrate Court
Attend SAT/IEP meetings related to poor attendance

CPR AED/First Aid Training
 Since September 2006 have facilitated nearly 40 classes
 Over 250 Teachers, Nurses, Students and Staff have taken the class
 Certified AHA Basic Life Support Instructor
Active Shooter Response Training
 In collaboration with Jerry Moya – In July 2013 facilitated two initial
trainings of over 70 Staff, Administrators, and Community Partners
 Obtaining the training and equipment needed to deliver professionalized
training to all school staff members
 Currently training school staff on a site-by-site basis, collaborating with
ALL stakeholders and community partners to improve training

• Children and Youth in Transition Services
 Proactively locating, contacting and serving students who are in a
homeless situation or students who are unaccompanied.
 Eliminating barriers to enrollment immediately
 Providing school supplies, backpacks and other needed articles
 Raising community awareness about youth in transition
 Ensuring free meals and payment for class fees
 Ensuring transportation to and from school
 Assisting clients to identify community resources for assistance
 Collaborating with Community Service Providers to help students
