We believe that adhering to this philosophy will have a lifelong affect on your student athlete. We will challenge your student athlete physically and mentally. We will demand that they give the team their very best all of the time and we will do this all in the most positive way possible. Our intent is to have your student athlete leave practices a better player and a better person. Communication GOSSIP IS A CANCER – IF YOU HEAR SOMETHING FROM SOMEONE, IT STARTS WITH “I HEARD THIS FROM,” AND IT IS NEGATIVE OR UNFAIR CALL THE LEAGUE ADMINISTRATOR TO FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF THE TRUTH. Our website www.tatcsports.org will be the place to go for the most recent and accurate information. We understand the importance of keeping this site up to date and will be diligent in keeping it accurate so that you can trust the information that you find on it. Having said that, things change! If you checked practice schedule or any type of posting please go back and look at applicable dates and times within a week of the activity. We will communicate a change in schedule by email also but every now and then, a small handful of you do not receive the emails for various reasons. Check the web site often. Whenever in doubt, call or text your coach. Coach Communication Coaches will be emailing you once a week with a quick run down of the week’s activities. We understand the importance of good communication and you will get it. Coaches will also be giving a written monthly evaluation of things your Student Athlete is doing well and areas that they need to improve on for the betterment of her team and their individual performance. This evaluation will address the playing time and what the student athlete can do to maximize it. It will also address overall attitude and leadership characteristics. Attitude matters! Athlete/Parent Communication with Coach The athlete, not the parent will be expected to handle the first communication on any matter with the team. This does NOT mean we do not want parents communicating with coaches – we do! We simply believe that having your student athlete communicate first allows them the opportunity to grow. They can talk to their coach about anything as long as they address them with respect. After this initial Student Athlete/Coach communication, the Parent may request a meeting with the coach to clarify any matter at all. Code of Conduct/Ethics TATC Sports will be a model organization for sportsmanship. Each Player, Parent, and Coach will be REQUIRED to read and sign a code of Conduct/Ethics form at the time of signing an agreement to Coach or participate with TATC Sports.
