TASTING NOTES
2005 Sovereign Semillon Sauvignon Blanc
Perfect Summer Wine.
Colour: Light, pale green.
Nose: Intense citrus blossom, lifted peach notes along with hints of kaffir lime and lemon.
Palate: Crisp, clean with persistent citrus flavours, followed by a tight and balanced finish.
Serving & Cellaring: This fresh, fruit driven wine is best enjoyed now. Serve lightly chilled with a crisp Caeser salad or grilled fish.
2004 Soveriegn Chardonnay
Incredible value 'unwooded' Chardonnay.
Colour: Light straw yellow with a youthful green tinge.
Nose: Intense and lifted nose of integrated 'figgy' fruit and hints of tasty oak.
Palate: Soft and round, with complex, creamy peach flavours on the front palate and a persistent citrus fruit finish.
Serving & Cellaring: This wine should be enjoyed now and is best served lightly chilled with a grilled chicken salad or vegetable fritatta.
2004 Sovereign Cabernet Merlot
Fruity Cabernet Merlot that any wine drinker will enjoy.
Colour: Dark red with red-purple hue.
Nose: Lifted mocha chocolate with blackberry and blueberry aromas and subtle oak.
Palate: Soft, round and full palate with generous flavours and a lingering finish. A noble tannin structure in complimented with subtle oak flavours.
Serving & Cellaring: This fruit driven style may benefit from short term cellaring, but with the primary fruit characters this wine is ready to be enjoyed in its
youth. Best served at room temperature with a gourmet pizza and fresh garden salad.
2004 Sovereign Shiraz
Great value everyday drinking Shiraz.
Colour: Dark red with purple hues, brilliant clarity.
Nose: Concentrated plum fruit, a touch of white pepper and spice supported by subtle vanillin oak aromas.
Palate: Rich and soft plum flavours on the front of the palate with a persistent finish. Toasty oak flavours enhance the wine's complexity.
Serving & Cellaring: This strong fruit driven wine is styled to enjoy now. Serve at room temperature with pasta or any lighter red meat dish.
