the mondavi center for the Performing arts at Uc Davis announces its Mozart Competition for Young Artists Dear Friends: Happy New Year! and the versatile 200-seat Studio Theatre, the center is one of the premier performance venues in California. Mondavi Center’s annual season of performances features an expansive mix of major orchestras, classical and jazz artists, world music and dance companies, theater, family programs, and lectures by leading cultural figures. In honor of the 250th anniversary of Mozart’s birth, and as part of Mondavi Center’s two-year-long Mozart Series, the competition focuses on the works of this beloved composer. The competition is open to instrumentalists and pianists ages 8-17 and vocalists 18 and younger. Please see the attached application materials for additional information.
