The presenter will demonstrate how efficient and effective grading can be using free and simple
voice recording software available to both Mac and PCs. The ability to communicate assessment
through the rich channel of voice gives unprecedented detail and richness to the evaluative
content. Most importantly, students love it.

A simple wiki page can be an extremely effective way to help students connect, collaborate, and
sharpen basic technology skills in a way that allows them to express their individuality, work
flexibly, and ultimately learn more effectively. It cuts down on the teacher’s paperwork, and allows
the teacher to guide a budding organic process.

how you can help your students create meaningful lessons. Presenters will describe a collaborative
student project using digital cameras with intermediate level ESL students. The intermediate level
ESL students are creating a photo website with both print and online materials for beginning ESL
students. The presenters will introduce the project to participants, describe the project outline, and
share lessons.
