write a

Short-short story, like “Accident” or “55 Miles to the Gas Pump”

Graphic story, like “Eye Ball,” in which you tell the story through pictures
and words, or one like Arrival, in which the story is told completely through
visual images

Song titles, or other elements, that tell a story through a list, as in “Love
and Other Catastrophes: A Mix Tape, ” or “Girl”

Or some other way that you come up with on your own.
Getting Started:

Develop a story idea—what do you want your story to be about?

Create characters—who will be in the story?

Map out a plot—conflict, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution

Decide on the point of view from which the story will be told.

Envision a setting for the story

Devise a theme—how does the main character change?
Just try to have some fun with the assignment. To read and analyze works of
literature well, it is good to try and write it as well. It may help you
understand the process through which works of literature are created.
