If you have trouble doing these, go to your teacher for extra help. Then try some of the unassigned questions. The unassigned questions may also be used for extra practise before the unit test. THE ASSIGNED MARK (5%): Since the answers to all the questions are at the back of the textbook, the mark assigned to the assignments will be based on the quality of the work : handed in on time, complete, neat, organized, etc. Math 10C – Number Systems and Exponents The Problem: A student was doing an assignment on the internet for his class and he came across a group of strange looking numbers. Those numbers are listed in the box below on the left. His problem was to figure out how to rank these numbers from largest to smallest. Take the next few minutes to think about this problem. Your task is not to find a numerical solution to the problem now (you will do that at the end of the unit). Your task is to put thought into what facts, skills, formulas, and procedures you will need to solve the problem. Make a list of those concepts and skills you think you need to solve this problem.
