WORK with the words! Practice, practice, practice. Do the homework and the warm-ups. Study a few words every night-Don’t leave it until the night before the quiz. Write the words 3 times each. Make flashcards. These count as extra credit if they bring them in before the quiz. 6. Use an MP3 player to listen to the new words. Download the terms from the text at the phschool link * and listen to the words-all pages with the speaker icon are available. 7. Look at sentences that use the vocabulary terms. 8. Do the computer activities from the homework sheet or HW link* 9. Try extra credit sentences or crossword puzzles. See the link * on the wiki menu or the HW paper for details. 10. Create his/her own quiz. Predict the questions and know those answers. 11. Study with someone else-a family member can read the English and know that he/she is giving the right answer in Spanish. *All links are available on the department web site: www.spanishpcis.wikispaces.com Extra credit - up to 10% of the term’s final average The same extra credit options are available for every unit See example below 1. 5 points- Log on to www.armoredpenguin.com/ create a crossword puzzle using all vocabulary from the chapter. Please name it your name + the chapter. Use at least 20 words 2. 15 points- Make a PowerPoint for ALL chapter vocab. Write the English/Spanish word AND include a picture. 3. 10 points- Make a PowerPoint for ALL chapter vocab. Write the English/ Spanish word on each slide. 4. ½ point- Write sentences using the current vocabulary and grammar. Each sentence must have a subject, a verb, a noun and an adjective (If you use Microsoft office 2007, always save your Spanish work as a 2003 file) 5. 2 points- make flashcards for the vocabulary being tested-due day of quiz/test
