Power Library Information
Patron Catalog- (Desktop icon in the library)
You can search books by subject, title, author, and key words. The system will give you
full details about the book and whether or not the book is in. We are in the process of
getting a new system (Atrium) that will be web-based. I will give you information on this as
it progresses.
Google Search- Check out the Advanced Search for ways to narrow your
search results.
WikipediaDO NOT use this as a source for your research. Anyone can create or modify
the entries of this cite. While there might be very reliable information, there is a huge
possibility of getting incorrect information.
Magazines:
As a busy professional you don’t have the time- or the budget- to read all the
magazines that impact your field. Now you can read these publications just by clicking the
PowerLibrary icon on the Media Page. Go to EBSCOhost, choose your database then
continue. (Masterfile Premier is adequate most of the time.) Go to the publication tab and
browse or enter the magazine name that you are looking for. I did a quick search and found math
magazines, administration magazines, science magazines, and for shallow weekend reading there is
even Cosmopolitan. :o) You can browse the current issues, search for specific information or catch
up on the newest trends, strategies or markets. Enjoy!
