Berkeley Lab Internships for PreCollegiate Scholars (BLIPS)
BLIPS is an eight-week internship that provides high school juniors with the

Cal Summer Experience: The Cal Summer Experience is a two and one-half day
residential program on the UC Berkeley campus for prospective high school and
community college applicants from educationally disadvantaged backgrounds.

Program (SYEP): A Community Benefit Program geared primarily toward 11th
and 12th grade students. We offer paid summer work experience at Kaiser
Permanente facilities throughout California and encourage students to consider that
life long learning and earning power begins with a high school diploma. There are a

students who have participated in the SYEP have chosen health care-related fields
after graduation – some of them right here at Kaiser Permanente. As a SYEP
student, you’ll be paid for your time, working in one of our departments while

Occupational Program (ROP) teacher is involved and you complete the various

Metropolitan Transportation Commission Summer Internship Program: The
purpose of the program is to promote interest in transportation as a potential
career, help students understand the role of transportation agencies in the
community, county and region, provide skill-building opportunities during all phases

hour rate is $10.00 and hour and students may work full time or part time for up to

Yosemite Institute: The Yosemite Institute Field Research Course is a 2 week
backpacking adventure in the wilderness of the Yosemite National Park.
Participants earn college credit by completing an ecological research project to
