Greeks Bearing Gifts
When the chef at Sergeant Lewis's favourite Greek restaurant is found
dead and a baby goes missing, the Greek community in Oxford closes
ranks. As Morse and Lewis try to unravel the complicated case, they
get little co-operation from the tightly-knit community. Morse feels
more at home with Oxford's other Greek connection - the classical
scholars, and surprisingly discovers that there could be a link between
the two worlds - several of the people with a motive for the crime,
together with the cream of Oxford's classical scholars, attended an
event involving ancient Greek naval ships the previous summer.
