Chapter Synopsis
Chapter 6:
After the lesson of Mr. Keating, Mr. McAllister wants him talking to talk to Mr
Keating about his unconventional lesson because he thinks that Mr. Keating
misguides the pupils with his abnormal unusual kind of teaching.
During this conversation, At the same time Neil finds information about Mr.
Keating in his senior annual in the library, filled with photos from his school
days at Welton Academy and further information about a secret organisation,
called “Dead Poets' Society”.
As the pupils respond interrogate Mr. Keating on about this society, he gives
them more information about the club's aim motto of “sucking the marrow out
of life”.
This kind of a mysterious poetic organisation impressed impresses them so
much that they decide to revive the Dead Poets' Society with a meeting in the
secret cave.
After hearing learning the terms of this meeting, Todd doesn’t want to come,
because he fears is afraid of expressing (exposing) himself by reading out of
poems. In a conversation with Neil, he Neil convinces him and finally Todd
agrees.
