CBM’s International Office in Bensheim, Germany, is accepting applications for Director Marketing Location: Bensheim, Germany Contract Duration: 2 years (for the initial project) extension of position into CBM’s management structure is expected. Contract Start: As soon as possible Objective This is a new position. The Marketing Director reports to the President of CBM International. Initially the incumbent will lead a strategic project to clarify CBM’s identity and explore brand development for the CBM Family. It is expected that the successful candidate will introduce marketing as a philosophy, a strategic challenge and a proven set of tools into the organization, with support from senior management and the Board of Directors. He/she works together with an internal, international team and is supported by external experts, where required. Main Responsibilities • Lead CBM’s identity and brand development project • • • • Overall development, management, operation and controlling of the international marketing framework in agreement with CBM’s Member Associations, Programme Department, and Advocacy Department Provide consultation to Member Associations (MAs), Departments and Regions on marketing related topics Development of international marketing products in line with the needs of MAs Recommend and develop new markets for CBM Responsibilities in Detail • • • • • Ensure market and customer (beneficiaries and donors) orientation of the CBM family (CBM International and MAs) Enable CBM family to respond swiftly to new market developments Develop, adjust and oversee CBM's brand management and integrated marketing, communications and fundraising strategy Support MAs in their local marketing work (appearance and positioning, media relations and networking) Oversee and explore new markets and new market developments Professional Profile and Requirement Qualification • Master’s degree in marketing and / or international management or longterm marketing and management experience with a proven track record in international marketing preferably in the civil society sector Experience • Multi-year international experience and strong track record in successfully delivering marketing strategies (including brand management in a networked organization i.e. without line management power in the separate Member Associations) • Senior management experience with NGOs and/or in the corporate world • Five years of effective people management preferably • Strong persuasion skills • Strong network of external marketing and media contacts in key markets • Excellent English and preferred fluency in German Core • • • • • • • • Competence Excellent Strategic and Creative skills Customer Orientation Results Orientation Market Knowledge Facilitative Leadership style Collaborating and Influencing Outstanding Communication skills Relationship Builder Personal Profile • • • • • Resilient Innovative Well-organized Persistent Valid working permit for Schengen/EU countries The future job holder adheres to CBM beliefs as well as values and commits to CBM’s Child Protection Policy.
