UK Distance Charts – Issue 68
October 2013
The purpose of this section is to advise of any changes that have been implemented since the last issue of
each individual chart. The charts may be manually amended accordingly.
This issue completely replaces the previous issue, which should be discarded.
Any items added to UK Distance News since the last edition are marked * in the left margin.
Table 1
OB Milton Road should be 35m16c, OB Park Road should be 35m35c and OB Hamlet Road is 35m43c
Replace PSR at 1m 63 with 1m 60- 20 up/ 50 down.
Add new PSR at 2m 73 (30 wbd 60 ebd) and 4m 35 (60 wbd 70 ebd).Alter all ebd PSRs between the two
to 60. Alter 6 MP PSR to 60 both ways and the next two ebd to 60.

The Up Neutral Section at 11m 26 has been repositioned to 11m 24.

new printed chart will be issued when completed.

Angle Lane Crossing at 50m 26 has closed.
Add Hitchin East Junction at 33m 32 with PSR at 32m 43 80/85EMU wbd, 50 ebd which now applies to
the entry above and a new PSR at 32m 43ch.
Add new line beneath Cambridge Jn entitled Down Cambridge Flyover with the following locations:
Hitchin North Junction Pts 32m 53 (down PSR 70) PSRs at 32m 65 (50 down) and 33m 37 (55 down)
and Hitchin East Junction pts at 34m 05 (down 80 mph). Amend down PSR figure at Hitchin East Jn lower
down from 55 to 80 mph
Table 26
The chart has been enhanced with the addition of more underbridges, crossover and junction information
and this will appear on the website in April. The chart will be reprinted at a future date and in the
meantime a copy will be available free of charge to non-internet members upon request to the Editor.

Earfit Lane LC (184-05) has cloed.
The Path Crossing at 36m 19 was scheduled to be replaced by a FB in late Dec 2012. Amend entry to
Footbridge at 36m 17ch.

NORMANTON is an long island platform with staggered platform surfaces confined to the north end. The
SFB opened late July 2011 and the shelter moved 2 chains to the north.

Three lines now serve STALYBRIDGE. To the left and above the wbd line above Stalybridge Junction
insert UH(=Up Huddersfield) and on the adjoining columns UDM (=Up and Down Main) and DH(=Down
Huddersfield). Delete PSRs east of here and add a new location Stalybridge Tunnel Junction pts at 8m 08.
Insert 25 tr xvr above the latter. PSRs for all lines are 50 both ways but place † against the UDM
Stalybridge exit figure and add note † 25 eastbound.
Delete reference to MP 1 (Ardwick-Ashburys) in the footnotes; has moved to the up side.
Amend Morley centre to 38m 25

note that the line over the Tees Viaduct moved from the south to north viaduct on the 27/12/11 and the
line is now 5 yards shorter.

The line has been doubled from Annan to the single lead connection with the WCML at Gretna Jn and an
Up platform provided at Gretna Green. PSR of 80 applies to both lines from Annan to about 115m40ch
then as before.
Add new PSRs at 13m55 (70nbd 65sbd) and 14m14 (70 both). Amend Lugton MP PSR to 70nbd/65sbd.
Add new PSR at 37m 54 65 nb, 70 sb and delete PSRs at 38m 07 and 38m 34. Amend sbd PSRs
between 37m 54 and 38m 39 to 70mph.
Amend the 30 Up Line PSRS from 91-55 to 92-32(exc) to 40 mph.
