Short and succinct: drinktec at a glance drinktec is the international trade fair for beverage and liquid food technology, and thus the most important event in the industry. Held every four years, every renowned manufacturer (supplier) meets every major producer and vendor of beverages and liquid food at drinktec. In the industry drinktec is regarded as the platform for world innovations. drinktec’s function as the world’s leading trade fair is also due to the fact that it covers the complete process chain. Manufacturers present the latest technologies for the production, bottling and packing of all kinds of beverages through to liquid food. One of the hallmarks of drinktec is that entire plant, systems and machines are set up completely at great expense and are shown in operating mode. drinktec is the only event where this takes place. The four-year cycle corresponds both to innovation demand in the beverage industry and the innovation cycle of the fitting-out and supply industry. When drinktec was last held in 2001, it attracted 1,285 exhibitors from 46 countries and around 70,000 visitors from 127 countries. drinktec 2005 will be held at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre from Monday, 12 to Saturday, 17 September 2005. drinktec 2005 is a marketing partner of BevExpo 2004 – www.bevexpo.com Your contacts for press activities on drinktec 2005: Johannes Manger and Alexandra Wehrheim Tel.:(+49 89) 949-20630, Fax:(+49 89) 949-20639 manger@messe-muenchen.de wehrheim@messe-muenchen.de Messe München International (MMI) Messe München International (MMI) stages around 40 trade fairs for capital goods, consumer goods and new technologies, and is therefore one of the world’s leading trade fair companies.
