According to Saussure, semiology consists of the study of signifier and signified, and
principles found in semiology or semiotics would not only be applicable to linguistics but
also to the science of finance. This is going to be a new field of investigation which we
might call financial semiotics. This new branch of semiotics will integrate both
linguistics and the science of finance into one well-defined territory. Peirce defined
摘要
semiotics as the scientific” doctrine” of signs-the term doctrine refers to a theoretical
(英) system of knowledge based on artificially worked out concepts and principles. Since
Peirce, the field of semiotics has become truly enormous. It now includes, among other
things, the study of how animals communicate, body language, of the arts, of metaphor,
of myths, of media messages-in sum, of anything that makes human life interesting or
appalling, including the animal we call Financial Tsunami.
