WSS 050 Wilhelmsen Ships Service demonstrates its capabilities at IMPA The UK base of Wilhelmsen Ships Service is proud to rank No. 4 in the world in terms of sales volume, of the 71 countries in which the company has an office. Of topical note is Wilhelmsen Ships Service’s R-22 Refrigerant changeover capability, a necessary service resulting from the ban, from 31st December 2009, on the top up any refrigeration systems containing R-22 or other ozone depleting HCFC refrigerants. One of the company’s four international engineering teams capable of implementing the R-22 changeover is based at Dartford, and are called out both in the UK and to locations around the world. Wilhelmsen Ships Service is also targeting UK based customers with its Liferaft Rental initiative, where all annual service schedules are planned on the shipowner’s behalf and taken care of. The dedicated customer centre at Dartford has an expert team which can advise the customer about the myriad of regulations and requirements.
