The following topics will be practiced within 5 weeks:
 Ecology and Conservation (Option G)
 Practical Assessments
 Throughout the 12th grade summer school DP Biology HL sessions,
students will be prepared according to the requirements of the
international exam they will take in May 2015 DP exam sessions. In
order to be successful, they will be encouraged to show their personal
potential on thinking scientifically, applying their knowledge in a new
situation, drawing conclusions, evaluating and making connections
between other disciplines especially with other science lessons by
usage of technology effectively.
 To understand and to follow the lesson better, you must be eager to
learn. The learning objectives of the topics in Biology Guide 2009
given to you are the basic road maps to work on them strictly. You
need to remember key terminologies in Biology to be successful in DP
exams. Please remember to practice past exam questions since May
2009 examination sessions. Do your homework regularly including
unit questions and past exam question packs and if you have any
incomprehensible topic, then contact to us as soon as possible.

 Field Trip Report
 2 full lab reports
See “Internal Assessment criteria”. (A positive or negative evaluation
in any of these requirements may raise or lower your overall grade.)
 Marks will be deducted at the rate of 5% per day. After 1 week you
will be given a 0 (FAIL) for that assignment. It is the student’s
responsibility to hand in work promptly. Copied or plagiarized work
will receive a zero.
 Please note that laptops are not to be used without permission. Also,
as per your computer use agreement, any sort of game playing, chat
rooms and the use of inappropriate sites are prohibited. And also the
cell phones cannot be offered to be used to connect internet for even
research or to be used as a calculator. Please bring your calculator and
laptop with you at all times.
