ABSTRACT : This research seeks to validate the theories of Tomas Andres with regards to his definition of organizational culture and be corroborated with the organizational philosophy and culture of Moog Controls Corporation (MCC). The researcher also employed of Tomas D. Andres’ definition of organizational culture to determine the employees’ level of awareness of the organizational values and culture that are communicated throughout the organization of MCC. Moog Controls Corporation has a total of 911 employees. The average number tenure of the current employees of MCC is 8.28 years. The youngest employee is less than a year while the oldest is 25 years in the company. 55.54% or 506 of 911 employees are up to 5 years of tenure in MCC while 44.56% or 405 of 911 employees are 5 years and above. x A two-part questionnaire was formulated to measure the level of awareness of the employees. A total of 309 employees participated from the eight (8) departments. The respondents were divided into two employment ranges namely up to 5 years and more than 5 years. Majority or 30.42% of the respondents were 4 years tenure in the company. The researcher validated the theories of Tomas D. Andres about thinking, feeling, believing and practicing/acting the organizational culture of MCC. Believing and practicing/acting are interconnected to each other while thinking and feeling are interrelated to each other. The results were varied across segments. Overall, in beliefs, practice and thoughts, “Your Personal Life Is Important” was ranked highest by the employees. In feelings, “It’s My Job” was ranked highest. To determine the differences in beliefs, practices, thoughts and feelings of MCC employees, the researcher employed Levene’s test for homogeneity of variance. Results showed that both groups of respondents from all department/segment have a diverse level of standpoint with regards to thinking, feeling, believing and practicing/acting the philosophy and culture of MCC. The standpoint from the respondents in both group and all segments for thinking and feeling were varied. In all segments and areas covered by Andres, except for feelings and thoughts of those with tenure of more than 5 years, the employees’ had significant differences in their beliefs, practice, feelings and thoughts. The researcher recommended that providing a continuous training program for the employees of MCC. The management should have a detailed and specific definition of the companies’ core values so that all employees will interpret the organizations’ philosophy and culture similarly. xi Other recommendation is to further the study to validate the result of the presence of an organizational culture in a company.
