(2) Formal oral presentations of research projects conclude – maintain eye contact, orally credit sources, refer to technological creative visual, provide summary handouts to class and teacher (SOL 12.1, 12.2, 12.8, 12.5). (3) Student groups will be assigned two Renaissance sonnets for explication, analysis, and oral presentation to class. They will determine tone and theme, poetic devices used to create effect, author based on analysis of structure and rhyme scheme, etc. (SOL 12.3, 12.4, 12.1). (4) Intro lecture on Huck Finn: Bio of author, summation of style and themes. Student groups will be assigned specific characters from novel. Bring images to next class for creation of characterization posters (SOL 12.4).
