AP English (A&B) Lesson Plans of Linda Robinson: T2 Week # 3 2/10/14-2/14/14 AP English Mon. A Day Objectives: (1) Review plan for today – objectives and homework. (2) Finish: Formal oral presentations of research projects into literary periods (Haley, Meredith, Dana) – maintain eye contact, orally credit sources, refer to technological creative visual, provide summary handouts to class and teacher (SOL 12.1, 12.2, 12.8, 12.5). (3) Intro lecture on Huck Finn: Bio of author, summation of style and themes. Students will take detailed notes (SOL 12.4, 12.3, 12.5). Handouts: (1) Rubrics for grading formal oral presentations Assignments: (1) A-Day: This Wed. and Fri. will have to primarily be study halls/review time, as most students will be out of class Wed. for club photos, and only three students will be in class Fri. with a sub due to NHS carnation delivery. (2) (NEXT MON. WE NOW HAVE SCHOOL, AND IT WILL BE AN “A DAY” – devoted to Huck Finn discussion.) (3) Bring Huck Finn novel and summer questions daily!!! (A-Day bring Things Fall Apart to read in class Wed & Fri this week!) (4) Read Part I (Ch. 1-13) of Things Fall Apart for Tues. Feb 18th – B Day / Wed. Feb. 19th – A Day.
