The Bible
Bible is from a Greek word meaning books. There are 66 Books in the Bible: 39 Books in the Old
Testament (written in Hebrew & Aramaic and known as the Hebrew Bible or Text) and 27 Books in the
New Testament (the second major division of the Christian Bible written in Greek Text) King James
Version as not finished until 1611.AD.
Genesis – “The Beginning”: Author- Moses
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
First Book of Bible (Part of the first five books known as the Pentateuch or Torah)

GOD – HIS Name is YHWH (vowels are left out as a sign of respect)
HE is the uncreated Spirit who is the origin of all things, who elected and redeemed a people and
provided for them eternal salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.

The Book of Exodus lays foundational theology in which GOD reveals
