Button -

the information that was entered into the form. Reset is also a common use.
Radio Button Group - Used when you want user to choose only one option.
Text Area -
Allows visitors to enter more than just a single line of text. A typical example
would be the “Comments” section.
25. What would you use a jump menu for on a web page?
It is a pop-up menu listing links that allows for easy navigation that links to documents or files.
When users choose an item, they “jump” directly to the new URL.
26. List one advantage of using CSS rather than tables for the layout of a web site.
It is easier to maintain quick loading, visually pages.
27. How are the meta tags for keywords and description used?
Meta tag keywords and descriptions are used by search engine robots to help index the site.
Hands on Dreamweaver ExamYou must upload files to your myweb account and access your site through your URL. No printed exams
will be accepted.
1. Open Dreamweaver, set up your site and create a new html file.
2. Save the file as exam.html in your dreamweaver folder.
3. Add a title that includes- Dreamweaver Exam and Your full name.
4. Create a new css file. Save the file as exam.css
5. Create the following styles in exam.css

A style that formats the body tag with a background color and zero margins

A style that formats the (Heading 2)H2 tag as Arial size 14 with a font color
other than black

A style for each of the link states: link, visited, active, hover- choose a
different font color for each and a background color for hover.

A class style named red-box that can be used for any tag- with a
background image, box height and width set to auto and a thin red border
6. Save exam.css. Open exam.html and link it to exam.css
7. In exam.html on the first line of your page add your full name and format it as Heading 2. On the second
line add North Shore Community college and apply the red-box style.
8. On the next line create a table with the following properties:
4 rows and 4 columns
Width- 700 pixels
Border = 1
Cellpadding and cellspacing = zero
Any background color different than the page background color
9. Merge the first row of cells and center your full name and Dreamweaver Exam in the cell.
10. Center the table in the middle of the page.
11. Split any empty cell in 2 by column.
12. Add a rollover image to any cell.
13. Add an image with alternate text to any cell.
14. Add a hyperlink to www.fidelity.com in any cell.
15. Add an email link to your NSCC email address in any cell.
16. Apply the red box style to any cell
17. At the bottom of exam.html create your own form (with a table) with any 4 form elements (text box,
check box etc.) and a submit button.
18. Spell check and save your exam.html file.
19. Open your index.html.
20. Add a link to exam.html and upload index.html ,exam.html and exam.css
21. Go to your URL and check your index.html. Make sure your index.html links to your exam.html and
that the styles and links are working correctly. Send me the URL for your exam through the drop box.
Optional Bonuses- Complete 1 or 2 of the following for extra points.
Bonus1: Create an image map that links to add least 4 external or internal links.
Bonus2: Add a jump menu with at least 4 external or internal links.
