Abstract
In preparation of further mastery of the American Psychological Associations’ APA formatting,
this Research Skills Assignment is comprised of the development of a title page, abstract and
references of five articles related to learning. This paper was formulated with the help of
PERRLA, a software based APA formatting tool. APA is the preferred formatting of research
papers for the Psychology field, and the PERRLA software offers constant updates to the APA
format that makes the use of this software an asset to the RPN student. References for this
assignment were gleaned from the EBSCOhost and Medscape databases.

Nice work Dayle!
There's an extra space under the title of Abstract. Only double space the entire
content of your abstract page.
Your first four references are incomplete as they neither contain the doi nor url.
When citing references you are to provide the doi if available. For instance:(this
example should have a hanging indent).
Boulton-Lewis, G. M. (2010). Education and learning for the elderly: why, how,
what. Educational Gerontology, 36, 213-228. doi:10.1080/03601270903182877

When there is no DOI for a chosen article, click on the EBSCOhost 'Permalink' to
provide the URL:
Johnson, Malcolm L. (1995) Lessons from the Open University: Third-age learning.
Educational Gerontology, 21(5). Retrieved from
http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct
=true&db=pbh&AN=9508090092&site=ehost-live
The reader requires the direct URL to take them to the article. f you are not using
EBSCOhost, copy and paste the url from your browser and state 'Retrieved from' as
in the example above.
When a citation includes a digital object identifier (DOI), no further retrieval
information is needed. When a DOI is not available, and a URL is included, do not
include retrieval dates unless the source material may change over time (e.g., wikis).
(and just so you're aware, only the Title Of Your Paper, Your Name and Stenberg
College is now required on the title page as per the updated Stenberg College APA
brochure).
I hope this feedback is helpful. Good work.
Bravo Dayle!
