ASSIGNMENTS Ch.1, 2, 3
ASSIGNMENTS
MATH 099
Subject to change
We will have using number facts and making quick, simple graphs through out the quarter.
These assignments are to be done with pencil and paper and turned in.
The y should be shown neatly. If there are frayed edges, then remove the fray. Also, please
staple pages together before turning in your work. See other ideas about presenting papers ion
the syllabus.

Also: Here is the bonus assignment for 10 extra points due Monday, Oct. 12 at 12:30p
Pencil and Paper Bonus (3.1,3.2,3.3 are review)
[2] 3.1 #60G
[1] 3.2 #30
[7] 3.3 16, 52, 56 For each of these problems use algebra in this way:
First read and analyze the problem. Choose your 2 variables.
Define each of your variables: example let q be the number of fans sold
(The definition of a variable must include what is being measured or counted ,and what is
the measuring or counting system being used.)
Next, write a system of two equations using your two variables.
Then, solve the system of equations, showing your algebra work on your paper.
Finally, write an English sentence, or two, which gives the answer.
MATH 099 Pencil and Paper #4 DUE TUESDAY, Oct. 20.
This week we will work in class on chapters 5.9, 6.1 to 6.xx see additional info in class.
We will continue to use interval notation for all of these sections
and for function domain and range for some new types of functions.
We will continue to evaluate functions and to let functions equal a value so we can solve equations.
