There were no injuries sustained by police, and the identification of the dead bodies is going on,” police officer said.“The combing operations of the area have intensified.” Gadchiroli police chief said officers believed a Maoist divisional commander was killed in the firing, after which weapons including an AK-47 and rifles were recovered from the rebelsThe Maoists have become a potent insurgent force, demanding land and jobs for the poor and fighting for a communist society by toppling what they call India's “semi-colonial, semi-feudal” form of rule.The insurgency is believed to have cost tens of thousands of lives, with much action focused around the insurgents' so-called “Red Corridor” stretching throughout central and eastern India.Critics believe military action is not enough to stem the unrest, saying the real solution is better governance and development.” The incident is a very serious kind of incident but no international media, least Pakistani media channels reported this news of high profile from India because such reflects exactly what is going on there in India and how Indians are ‘fighting’ against Hindus and Sikhs dominated so called largest democracy of the world. The news also reflect that what kind of arms struggles are on there in India and what kind of anti state elements are there in India but there are ‘least’ talk shows about incidents of such sensitive and serious nature. The question is why? The easy answer of the question is that there are no dual national Vice Chancellors in Indian Universities because no minister dare to support a person for ‘key’ appointments that are directly related with the Indians as a nation. Moreover, India knows the importance of the use of words like ‘terror’, terrorist, extremist etc because they know that great Nelson Mandela was imprisoned because he was ‘declared’ as ‘terrorist’ by the than South African law. Moreover Indians also know the importance of ‘the communicated word through’ print or electronic media and its repercussions. Less people in our culture know that Indian Hinduism used ‘acting’ and dialogues’ as great tool for ‘dividing’ Hindu society in caste system and by promoting Hinduism in India. It is also a fact that Hindus know what is the importance of a person who prefer to stay in India and who goes abroad leaving India although the Hindus and Sikhs settle abroad each year invest millions in Indian business. The scholar those are aware of the Hindu culture know that what is the role of Hinduism in the illegal occupation of the valley of Kashmir but it is unfortunate that in Pakistan for last 15 years anti Two Nations Theory politicians not only ruled Pakistan but also established that there are only two classes in Pakistan. A class that is sacrificing everything even life for the cause of Islam and Pakistan and the other that is capable or not is of those who are in Pakistan just to make money because Pakistan, Pakistan’s ideology and Islam is nothing for them and tyranny of the fact is that such people are more in quantity in the circles those matter in top governance in Pakistan. Thanks God that Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his top team members like Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Tassaduq Hussian Jillani and Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif all are putting hard to bring in the lost culture of Pakistan that was all for the protection of Islam and Pakistan that was all to safeguard human rights violations anywhere in the world. All these top personalities are putting hard to establish the lost education culture and the lost objective working structure in the organizations and institutions but is that sufficient? On the other hand in the similar fashion Mr. Imran Khan of PTI has established a new tradition of appreciating government acts if such are favorable for Pakistan and people of Pakistan. Such personal efforts on the part of all top personalities are ‘commendable’ and reflect the presence of win win situation for entire Pakistan but unless the modern ‘weapon’ of media would not be utilized as such deserves to be manipulated to counter the past and present Indian moves in Pakistan, many of such could be traced in past Karachi unrest that is gradually heading towards normal circumstances due to the Karachi operation initiative by PML(N), the impact of affects would not be such as such deserves so it is important because Pakistan comparatively is in a far batter situation as compared with the on going situation in India provided our media is prepared to serve Pakistan as such deserves and provided our top education experts evolve a strategy to educate Pakistani youth the way the deserve but…? It is a great achievement if on going dialogue with the ‘fighters’ after the great initiative by PM Nawaz achieves what PML(N) desires but again two types of people so PML(N) and PM must be watchful of all developments and minutely ensure that things are heading towards a direction that is most favorable for PML(N) and future of Pakistan and war option has already been tested. CM for speedy implementing national importance projects ISLAMABAD, Feb 18 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Tuesday said the investment-friendly policies of the government are providing tremendous opportunities to the foreign and local investors.The Prime Minister was talking to a five-member delegation of General Electric Company led by John G. Rice, Vice President and CEO of the company.The meeting discussed opportunities for public and private sector collaboration on infrastructure and energy projects, with a particular focus on enhancing power generation, energy sector efficiency and power sector diversification.John Rice highlighted the advanced technologies offered by General Electric Company to address the country’s requirements.Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that General Electric had long association with Pakistan, as the country had been benefitting from the experience and expertise of the company. The Prime Minister was told that General Electric had been actively working towards completion of several power generation projects including Nandipur (525 MW) and Guddu (747MW). The Prime Minister highlighted the major power sector initiatives by the government and invited General Electric to invest in other power projects in the pipeline. He invited General Electric to extend its cooperation for various power projects such as Chichoki Malian Combined Cycle Power Plant, Grange Power Limited Combined Cycle IPP and revitalization of GENCO-III Power Plants located at Shahdara, Faisalabad and Multan. LAHORE, Feb 18: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif Monday said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government had set a new example of speedy implementation of the projects of national importance. Presiding over a provincial cabinet meeting here, he said the pace of work had been accelerated on Taunsa Barrage and Nandipur power projects so that people could be rid of load-shedding at the earliest.Provincial Irrigation Minister Mian Yawar Zaman referring to the visit to Nandipur power project, said that he had personally visited the site of the project where the situation had totally changed. He said seeing the spirit of the team, it seemed that giants were working on the project and not human beings. He said that Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif had made possible that work in two and a half months which had not been carried out during the last two and a half years. The Chief Minister said that he himself felt pleasant surprise by seeing the pace of work on Nandipur power project. ISLAMABAD, Feb 18 (APP): Pakistan Railways has planned to start an intercity shuttle train service in major cities of Punjab with cooperation of the provincial government.On the directive of Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique, the train service would run between LahoreGujranwala, Lahore-Faisalabad, Lahore-Narowal-Sialkot and Lahore-Okara sections, an official source told APP.After the completion of study on the routes, work on the projects will start. Pakistan Railways is also drawing an outline for transportation of 12 million ton coal for future power generation projects to be constructed at Jamshoro, Qadirabad, Sahiwal, Sundar and Faisalabad with the cooperation of China to overcome the energy crisis.The Pakistan Railways will also provide coal transport vans for power generation plants to be set up by the private sector. Under a plan to revive the department, the Railways is in dialogue with the Chinese government to upgrade ML-1 (main-line one) which connects Karachi via Rohri, Khanewal, Lahore, Lalamusa and Rawalpindi.It is expected that PC1 of the project would be completed till the end of the current year at the expense of China. After the restoration of ML-1, it will be possible to operate trains at 120 km/hour instead of a restricted speed limit.A dry port is being planned at Havelian for holding containers with the cooperation of the Chinese government and about two million ton goods per year could be handled from Khunjrab to Havelian as a pilot project. ISLAMABAD: 18 Feb, Two former prime ministers of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)-led government, Yousuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf, appeared on Tuesday before an accountability court in Islamabad for the hearing of the case related to the controversial appointment of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority’s (Ogra) former chairman Tauqeer Sadiq, DawnNews reported.During today's hearing, both the accused were provided with a copy of the references filed against them.Moreover, counsel for Yoususf Raza Gilani submitted an application for his client's exemption from appearing before the court over security concerns which was accepted.The court adjourned the next hearing of the case until Mar 5.On Jan 24, NAB had filed a reference, over the appointment of Tauqeer Sadiq as Ogra chief, against the two former prime ministers in an accountability court.The bureau also filed a supplementary reference in the court in a case pertaining to Rs82 billion corruption committed in Ogra.While talking to the media after the hearing, Yousuf Raza Gilani said that he respected the judiciary and had always ensured his presence whenever summoned.Dawn ISLAMABAD, Feb 18 (APP):China will provide loan of $ 6.5 billion for nuclear power plants KANUPP-2 and KANUPP3 on soft terms, which will help Pakistan to make a substantial improvement in its dire electrical power shortage problem.Earlier,china has also provided similar loan terms for the Chashma nuclear power plants C3 and C-4,official sources at Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) told APP here Tuesday.Official said this agreement is a classic case of a win-win situation for both parties,adding for China, it is a profitable investment that also contributes to its industrial development.He said such investments by vendor countries are not unusual,for example,Russia is financing the entire cost of the 4800MW plant that it is providing to Turkey, and has also promised to finance a planned nuclear power plant for Bangladesh.In fact, a soft loan of $500 million has already been provided to them for preliminary studies, he added.“In nuclear technology,China is now well on the way to assuming the mantle of world leader and at present,29 nuclear power plants are under construction there, by far the largest in any country”. Official said China is also making its presence felt in the international nuclear power arena.Recently, experts from China were invited to provide technical advice and guidance for the new nuclear power projects that have been initiated in the United States, he added. “The Americans owners of the upcoming plants have also set up offices in Shanghai to enable their own workers to learn directly from the greater and more recent chinese experience in the latest techniques in nuclear power technology”.Chinese companies have also entered into a joint international venture to set up nuclear power plants in the United Kingdom.In Pakistan,the first unit at Chashma,imported from China,has been working efficiently for the past 14 years and the second has been doing well for more than two years. “Construction of two more units is proceeding smoothly and is several months ahead of schedule”, official concluded. KARACHI, Feb 18 (APP): Three ships carrying containers, chemical and furnace oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Terminal.Meanwhile, three more ships carrying containers and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.Berth occupancy was 30% at the port on Tuesday where total three ships namely Safemarine Ngami, Intrepid Republic and Arietis are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, chemical and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.A cargo volume of 49489 tonnes comprising 33067 tonnes imports and 16422 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 782 containers (TEUs) were handled at the port during last 24 hours. He said that there is a matter of few days as gas supply becomes normal in March every year. He said that no alternative fuel is either available nor feasible of gas which is integral for ‘wet process’ in textile production process. All textile value chain :Ginning, Weaving, Sizing, Hosiery, home textile and even domestic trade will be totally collapsed.. He said under a planned scheme by certain elements, textile industry is being destroyed to damage the economy of the country He said should the suspension prevails, business community would be compelled to lay off the workforce which might flood the roads and streets with unemployed workers and make the law and order situation worse. He said that supply of gas to the industries was made only 114 days out of 365 days last year which affected the production capacity of the industries badly. He appealed to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chief Minister Punjab, Federal Minister for Finance, Federal Minister for Petroleum, and SNGPL authorities for continuous supply of gas to Faisalabad textile industries in the larger national, industrial and export interest and to save millions of workers from starvation. ISLAMABAD, Feb 18 (APP): World Food Organization (WFP) has distributed almost US $ 10.8 million among flood affectees including US $ 4.7 million under Food For Work (FFW) and US $ 6.1 million under Food For Cash (FFC) program to improve community infrastructure and rehabilitate their livelihoods.In FATA, most of the cereals distributed were provided in-kind as part of the generous Government’s contribution of 150,000 metric tons of wheat to WFP in 2013, said a news release issued here on Tuesday.During last year community recovery and disaster risk reduction activities of United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) were implemented in partnership with the Government of Pakistan. Non-Government Organizations partners and communities themselves to ensure community resilience to cope with recurrent shocks in nine disaster-prone districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan and six agencies in FATA. Naseer, who participated in one of the work schemes in Jaffarabad, Balochistan, sharing his view said, “We worked on the rehabilitation of a water channel in our village for which we received a cash incentive from WFP. Cash gives us freedom to choose what they buy, whether it’s various foods or other items such as clothes, medicines or books for the children, he said. Mainly the effects of unprecedented floods of 2010 and 2011 in Pakistan disrupted livelihoods and diminished people’s capacity to recover from shocks. The projects also comprise of a training element to improve agricultural practices and production as well as post-harvest techniques with view to achieving sustainable food security. Similarly, WFP’s capacity development activities included the implementation of a broad range of training opportunities such as on community preparedness, early warning, disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. Furthermore, national disaster management counterparts responsible for coordinating postcrisis relief and recovery were provided technical and material support.Sukhan, a trainee from Shikarpur, Sindh, commented, “During the first month, we were trained for 12 days on how to cope during natural disasters, and then on vegetable production after which I planted my own land. Gilani denounces arrest of TeH leaders Srinagar, February 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, has condemned arrest of the leaders of his party, Tehreek-eHurriyet Jammu and Kashmir (TeH) by Indian police.According to Kashmir Media Service, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the arrest of TeH Presidents for Doda Kishtwar, Malik Noor Fayaz, and Poonch Rajouri, Qazi Asgar, by the police as unjustified. He said that the puppet administration was subjecting Tehreek-e-Hurriyet to political vengeance and was not providing any political space to it.Syed Ali Gilani deplored that the occupation authorities were hell bent upon to disturb the political activities of the organization and wanted to crush it with iron hands. He said that Tehreek-e-Hurriyet had a clear-cut stand on the Kashmir dispute that the Kashmiris would not accept anything less than freedom from India.“The members and workers of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet are slapped with PSA one after another only to stop them from reaching the public,” he said. Dawn today reported a news about exchange of subsqeunt killings in India, the story is as follows, “UMBAI: Indian police killed seven Maoists Tuesday during an operation in a rebel stronghold known as the “Red Corridor”.Police came under attack in a jungle area of Gadchiroli district in the western state of Maharashtra, sparking an exchange of fire between the two groups, said local police spokesman.“They came under fire in the early morning. There were no injuries sustained by police, and the identification of the dead bodies is going on,” police officer said.“The combing operations of the area have intensified.” Gadchiroli police chief said officers believed a Maoist divisional commander was killed in the firing, after which weapons including an AK-47 and rifles were recovered from the rebelsThe Maoists have become a potent insurgent force, demanding land and jobs for the poor and fighting for a communist society by toppling what they call India's “semi-colonial, semi-feudal” form of rule.The insurgency is believed to have cost tens of thousands of lives, with much action focused around the insurgents' so-called “Red Corridor” stretching throughout central and eastern India.Critics believe military action is not enough to stem the unrest, saying the real solution is better governance and development.” The incident is a very serious kind of incident but no international media, least Pakistani media channels reported this news of high profile from India because such reflects exactly what is going on there in India and how Indians are ‘fighting’ against Hindus and Sikhs dominated so called largest democracy of the world. The news also reflect that what kind of arms struggles are on there in India and what kind of anti state elements are there in India but there are ‘least’ talk shows about incidents of such sensitive and serious nature. The question is why? The easy answer of the question is that there are no dual national Vice Chancellors in Indian Universities because no minister dare to support a person for ‘key’ appointments that are directly related with the Indians as a nation. Moreover, India knows the importance of the use of words like ‘terror’, terrorist, extremist etc because they know that great Nelson Mandela was imprisoned because he was ‘declared’ as ‘terrorist’ by the than South African law. Moreover Indians also know the importance of ‘the communicated word through’ print or electronic media and its repercussions. Less people in our culture know that Indian Hinduism used ‘acting’ and dialogues’ as great tool for ‘dividing’ Hindu society in caste system and by promoting Hinduism in India. It is also a fact that Hindus know what is the importance of a person who prefer to stay in India and who goes abroad leaving India although the Hindus and Sikhs settle abroad each year invest millions in Indian business. The scholar those are aware of the Hindu culture know that what is the role of Hinduism in the illegal occupation of the valley of Kashmir but it is unfortunate that in Pakistan for last 15 years anti Two Nations Theory politicians not only ruled Pakistan but also established that there are only two classes in Pakistan. A class that is sacrificing everything even life for the cause of Islam and Pakistan and the other that is capable or not is of those who are in Pakistan just to make money because Pakistan, Pakistan’s ideology and Islam is nothing for them and tyranny of the fact is that such people are more in quantity in the circles those matter in top governance in Pakistan. Thanks God that Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his top team members like Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Tassaduq Hussian Jillani and Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif all are putting hard to bring in the lost culture of Pakistan that was all for the protection of Islam and Pakistan that was all to safeguard human rights violations anywhere in the world. All these top personalities are putting hard to establish the lost education culture and the lost objective working structure in the organizations and institutions but is that sufficient? On the other hand in the similar fashion Mr. Imran Khan of PTI has established a new tradition of appreciating government acts if such are favorable for Pakistan and people of Pakistan. Such personal efforts on the part of all top personalities are ‘commendable’ and reflect the presence of win win situation for entire Pakistan but unless the modern ‘weapon’ of media would not be utilized as such deserves to be manipulated to counter the past and present Indian moves in Pakistan, many of such could be traced in past Karachi unrest that is gradually heading towards normal circumstances due to the Karachi operation initiative by PML(N), the impact of affects would not be such as such deserves so it is important because Pakistan comparatively is in a far batter situation as compared with the on going situation in India provided our media is prepared to serve Pakistan as such deserves and provided our top education experts evolve a strategy to educate Pakistani youth the way the deserve but…? It is a great achievement if on going dialogue with the ‘fighters’ after the great initiative by PM Nawaz achieves what PML(N) desires but again two types of people so PML(N) and PM must be watchful of all developments and minutely ensure that things are heading towards a direction that is most favorable for PML(N) and future of Pakistan and war option has already been tested. It appears that perhaps Pakistan is now looking for something that is earnestly needed.
