Armers Moncure Vice President Cook Ross. Inc. Passion for transformation, insightful facilitator, engaging trainer, dynamic keynote speaker, business leader, with a heart for social change…all of these are words that come to mind when describing a few attributes of Armers Moncure who describes his personal mission as helping people, organizations, and institutions become the change they want to experience. Always championing conscious change since before and during his college days, it was about 12 years ago when the flame of Diversity and Inclusion work was fanned in Armers. At that time, Armers was a Diversity Coordinator for his employer, the largest privately held staffing company in the US, the Allegis Group. In addition to his prime duties of driving business growth at his local office, Armers took on the responsibility of developing and executing the plan to help raise awareness, to recruit and retain more diverse talent, and advocate to create processes for a more inclusive work environment. He also helped develop the corporate mission statement for the company’s Diversity Council. It was during this period, that Armers was introduced to the wonderful work of Diversity and Inclusion—“Cook Ross style“. First as a client, participating in Cook Ross led training Armers saw this field as being the link back toward the change he advocated for during his college days, as well as a driver toward continuous improvement. Now as a colleague, Armers works hand in hand with the Principals and team of Cook Ross, to do his part in “Transforming the World…One Organization at a Time”. Ever the student of personal growth and development, Armers has spent the last 5 years studying various aspects of the subconscious mind, and its impact on human behavior, specifically how it relates sales, business development, and leadership in helping people perform better. Armers also spent considerable hours studying Employee Engagement and its impact on organizations. He’s now doing research designed to help align these two disciplines, Diversity & Inclusion and Employee Engagement, creating a more integrative approach within organizations. To that end, Armers presented at the Linkage Diversity Conference in April 2011 on the topic Employee Engagement: An ROI of Diversity and Inclusion, and is now doing webinars and stand-alone workshops and trainings on the subject. In addition to the Diversity experience, Armers has spent the last 15+ years working in the Healthcare, Staffing, Retail, and Direct Sales industries in various capacities of training, business development, and leadership. Some of his clients include Freddie Mac, Sirius XM, Wellstar Health System, VA Hospital-Baltimore, Nurses & Company, Go Network, Leadership Greater Washington, Operation Understanding, St. Patrick’s Center, Chubb Insurance, and Maryland General Hospital.
