SFG Universal Guitar For use with Rock Band™ and Guitar Hero® on PS3™ and Wii™ To use with your Wii console read this manual. Thank you for purchasing the SFG Universal Guitar. We hope you enjoy it! For your personal safety and for the safety of others, please carefully read this instruction manual as well as the instruction manuals that came with your games console and games. PRECAUTIONS Make sure you read the Instruction Manual of the SFG Universal Guitar before using the product. If you have any health concerns, please consult with your physician prior to using the SFG Universal Guitar. If at any time during game play you feel achy, numb, tingling or anything else abnormal, please take a break from playing. Datel recommends taking frequent breaks to prevent any of the above from happening. Keep all liquids away from this product. Getting this product wet will void your warranty. Do not insert objects of any kind into the product as this may cause damage or a fire hazard and void your warranty. Make sure small children are supervised while playing. Keep the SFG Universal Guitar out of environments of extreme heat and extreme cold. If you have any technical or functional problems with the SFG Universal Guitar, please contact our Customer Service department and do not try to modify the product or fix the problem yourself as this would void your warranty. When the SFG Universal Guitar is not in use, make sure to store it properly for both safety and preservation of the product. Quick Setup Guide Slide the guitar neck into the guitar body as shown below. Make sure nothing is caught between the neck and body while assembling. To detach the guitar neck from the body, press the connect button and simultaneously pull out the neck. Wii Guitar Hero (1) Install batteries Remove the battery cover on the bottom of the guitar and insert 2 AA batteries. Be sure they are inserted correctly. Then, replace the cover. IMPORTANT: Always replace the battery cover to prevent moisture, dirt, dust or other foreign matter from entering the battery compartment. (2) Turn on Slide the power toggle switch to ON. (3) Connect Synchronize the guitar with Wii™ console: PRESS and HOLD the guitar's SYNC button for about 3-5 seconds until the four LEDs light up simultaneously. Then release it, the four LEDs begin to flash. Note: Once synchronized, the SFG Guitar will stay synced to the console unless you overwrite the settings by syncing the guitar to a different console. Press the SYNC button on your Wii™ console. Press the guitar's SYNC button once again, after a few seconds, the four LEDs will stop flashing and one of the LEDs will light up to indicate the player's number. Connecting is now complete. You can insert the Guitar Hero® game and play. Notes: If you find the LED1 is flashing slowly, please turn the guitar off and follow the above steps again. Do not connect the attached receiver when you play Guitar Hero® on Wii. It is only required when using this guitar with a PS3 console or with the Rock Band™ game. For playing instructions, see the manual that came with your copy of Guitar Hero®. Wii Rock Band (1) Install batteries Remove the battery cover on the bottom of the guitar and insert 2 AA batteries. Be sure they are inserted correctly. Then, replace the cover. IMPORTANT: Always replace the battery cover to prevent moisture, dirt, dust or other foreign matter from entering the battery compartment. (2) Insert Rock Band™ Insert the Rock Band™ game into your Wii™ and launch the game. (3) Connect the receiver Use the slider on the side of the receiver to put the receiver into position 3 which is for Rock Band™ on the Wii. Carefully make sure the slider is all the way over to the right (nearest the connector). Insert the USB plug of the wireless receiver into the USB port on your Wii™. The Connection Indicator LED on the receiver will light up and flash slowly. (4) Connect the guitar Press the guitar’s SYNC button once. The Connection LEDs on the front of the guitar will flash slowly. After a few seconds, the Connection LEDs on the guitar and the USB receiver’s Connection LED will stop flashing and stay illuminated. The guitar is ready to use with Rock Band™. Notes: If the connection fails, make sure you have followed the steps above correctly and repeat if necessary. For playing instructions, see the manual that came with your copy of Rock Band™. Shift Fret Buttons to Solo Buttons Press the Shift button to make the Fret buttons to be Solo buttons.
