Service Description
IBM Sterling B2B Integration Services are designed to alleviate the burden on internal
resources by providing secure connectivity and collaboration with your customers,
suppliers, and business partners. The solution is built on the cloud-based B2B integration
and visibility capabilities of IBM Sterling B2B Collaboration Network and provides
comprehensive service offerings for partner on-boarding, B2B process management, and
trading partner support.


This service is available in two flavours – “Basic” and “Plus” descriptions of each are
provided below.
IBM Sterling B2B Integration Services Basic
Provides automated, cloud-based transformation of business documents into any required
data format or protocol and securely exchanges them with any trading partner, anywhere.
The service is a cloud based B2B integration platform that provides on-demand access to
and takes responsibility for the B2B infrastructure. It also provides the B2B process visibility
tools and community development resources that you need to effectively manage your
trading community.

Removes the need for in-house management and support of your B2B integration
infrastructure

Seamless integration of business partner transactions

Enables exchange of data regardless of communication protocols or data formats

Improves the agility and control of your supply chain with real-time business
intelligence

Real-time processing allows businesses to not only integrate internal processes with
external Business Partners, but also gather information and data from disparate
sources, both internal and external and re-engineer unique B2B processes.

IBM Sterling B2B Integration Services Plus builds on the integration-as-a-Service capabilities
of Sterling Integration Services Basic by providing B2B process management.
IBM Sterling B2B Integration Services Plus helps increase capability and profitability in your
B2B operations by providing additional transition services, document process management,
premium support, integration services, and optional trading partner support.

World-class technical support around the clock, with a “dial tone” reliable
infrastructure, all achieved with superior cost-effectiveness

Document expertise that reduces order, price and invoice errors, and manages your
document delivery process times

Optional trading partner support extends the service to your trading partner

Contract Price
Variable based on time and materials depending on agreeing, with the
Contracting Authority, the resources required for the Call-Off Order,
based on the IBM SFIA rate table. The price will be subject to VAT and

Context
A Cloud based business model requires a fresh approach to how Technology Services are
delivered within, and to, an organisation. The traditional processes, governance models,
delivery skills and capabilities need to be modernised to support this shift. Organisations
need to take a hard look at their current capabilities, identify the gaps, which need filling or
enhancements that need to be made and create a robust roadmap to address these.
IBM Sterling B2B Integration Services are designed to alleviate the burden on internal
resources by providing secure connectivity and collaboration with your customers,
suppliers, and business partners.
What we will do
IBM software services experts help you connect people, processes and information
seamlessly using our integration software. Use our team to lead a full implementation or
leverage us to support and collaborate with your internal teams or partners. Each services
engagement is tailored to your specific needs.
Our worldwide consultants will apply their proven technical skills and in-depth product
knowledge to ensure a successful implementation of IBM Sterling and WebSphere
Connectivity and Integration solutions. We offer on-site, off-shore, software as a service
(SaaS) or a combination of delivery models to meet your needs.
What you will get
The deliverables from this offering will vary based on the Call-Off Order and will be agreed
prior to engagement. Typical deliverables are:




An assessment undertaken by experienced IBM Technology Strategy and Delivery
professionals
A report summarising the findings of the maturity assessment across twelve
dimensions
A defined set of initiatives and a structured roadmap and plan to ensure value is
realised.
A proposal for a number of ‘infused’ resources to help you deliver the required
changes.

solutions technology space. Consequently the continued development of our MFT & B2B
solutions forms an important part of IBM’s overall integration story.
These trusted solutions are in use today helping 82% of the Fortune 500 move key data
inside and outside their operations and they specifically require highly scalability solutions
that are well designed and architected, that are easy to use and deliver speed and flexibility
of provisioning by using configuration tools and a wizard based approach.
This approach has led to many leading UK organisations also investing in IBM MFT & B2B
Technologies; this includes the top four UK High Street Banks, as well as leading
Telecommunications and FMCG organisations.
Commercials
This will be a Fixed Price/Time and Materials contract, however, following the first phase of
the work, there could be the opportunity to discuss the conversion of the initial quote into
either a Fixed Price, Time and Material or Risk/Reward based contract in order to provide
increased flexibility for the customer.
Initial work will be carried out under the Strategy and Architecture category of the IBM SFIA
rate table unless agreed otherwise. Follow on work will be under the appropriate
category(ies) of the IBM SFIA rate table.
The scope of work will be set out in the Call Off Order Form and agreed by both parties.
Follow on services to enable you to complete implementation of cloud services can be
provided by IBM. Details should be agreed via the Call-Off Order and priced using the IBM
SFIA rate card.

Other key points relating to this offering
Other key points to note are as follows:

This offering is subject to availability of IBM resources.

The Charges for this Service are on the basis that no Parent Company Guarantee is
required. If one is required and agreed to by IBM then the Charges will be revised
accordingly.

For Fixed Price offerings, Travel and Subsistence (T&S) costs will be charged in addition e
using the Contracting Body’s standard T&S rates.

The pricing and terms on individual call-off orders should be handled as commercially
sensitive by the Contracting Body.

Where work is of a sensitive and secure nature, security standards will be agreed
between IBM and the Contracting Body, and if necessary IBM will ask the Contracting
Body to issue a Security Aspects letter.

Whilst we do not propose to handle or have access to any personal data, we will suggest
and agree alternative approaches such as the use of anonymised data for testing
purposes.

The work is subject to IBM’s Terms of Business, which are attached separately to this
catalogue item.
