The beauty of it is it opens your eyes to real life. You begin to realize that the only way to get out of the "rat-race" is to purchase assets, and not liabilities. The game was a real eye opener. We started our evening with two fantastic Member Showcases, in keeping with Robyn’s ‘Attitude’ theme. Marion Edwin from Optimise gave a fascinating presentation about the effect of ergonomics on attitude and performance. With much humour, Marion explained how much more there was to ergonomics than simply having our chairs in the right position! Karel Pavich from KP Racing then delivered an outstanding presentation about the criticality of attitude in the field of motorcycle racing. Her passion and achievements are extraordinary, and made an impact on everyone. If there was ever going to be a ‘right-time’ to set goals, put our egos aside, take responsibility and forge forward with positive and focused attitudes to create opportunities and ultimately our own success (whatever that is for us individually) then this was definitely it! Robyn impressed everyone with how “real” and easy to connect with she is. In reminding us how important goals are, she encouraged us to identify and commit to one including giving it a completion date, then double the size and halve the timeframe! This of course encouraged us all to take our focus and energy to the next level well beyond our comfort zones and into the realms of real challenge. Personal responsibility was another big driver from Robyn; owning what we say and do, and using that process to gain control of where we’re headed. During the workshop Robyn shared the specific strategies she used to achieve her goal of ‘Reaching 10 million people in 30 days’ to spread the word about her newly launched book Attitude, Aptitude, Altitude. Choose Your ‘Tude. Everyone who attended the events left feeling empowered and inspired knowing that we each hold our own keys to success and achievement. Robyn showed us how to choose the ‘Tude! The rest is up to us, and how cool is that? Big thanks go to HBNN Member Dianne Tillier for hosting Robyn at Lansfield Luxury Bed and Breakfast. Our second May event was the “Ladies Who Lunch and Learn” Workshop With Eva Maria, who took time out from her busy schedule to fly in from Wellington to help 20 inquisitve lunching ladies how to demistify social media! We had a lovely lunch at the stunning Waterfront café, and Eva Maria’s fabulous, pumpring presentation was beautifully underpinned by Member Lynnette Butler from Can Can Girls; the social media empowerment website for women. Check it out at www.cancangirls.co.nz Big thanks to Lynnette for sponsoring Eva Maria for this event. _________________________________________________________________________ Huge thanks to the following sponsors: Members Directory Maxine Cook – Great Event! It costs just $189 for a full calendar year, and just LOOK at the National and Local benefits!!! Benefits of being a Her Business Network or Club Member Networking is a valuable way to expand your knowledge, learn from the success of others, meet potential new clients and tell others about your business.
