-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------IITD B Tech Electrical Engineering (Power) Students Win National Design Award
The entry of IITD, B. Tech. EE (Power) students, Ankit Agarwal,Anubhav
Gupta and Shailesh Kumar Dubey, was adjudged the second Runner up in
the Annual Analogue Design Contest (details of the contest with all
winners is in the following mail from Texas Instruments (TI)) organized
by TI on All India basis among projects from several leading
Engineering Institutions. Their project guided by Prof. SS Murthy was
on “Microprocessor( MSP430)-based Electronic Load Control for Micro Hydro Power Plants”.
This Award of $5000 with a plaque was presented to them along with
faculty guide by Dr B Mitra CEO of TI(India) at Bangalore on 26th
Mar.2010 during the well attended Award ceremony. Anna University and
IITM were respectively the Winners and first runner up. Among the
entries best eight were first selected by a rigorous review each
receiving $1500. These teams with their faculty guides were invited to
Bangalore by TI to demonstrate their design at the specially arranged
stalls prior to final selection on 26th Mar. Based on their presentation
and opinion of jury, the best three as above were announced during the
Award ceremony.
