EDUCATION ROUNDTABLE
In celebration of the
ASIAN* HERITAGE MONTH
High school teachers and students are invited to participate in an
Education Roundtable and discuss the following themes:
1) Do the students feel they are included in the curriculum?
2) How would the students like to see themselves reflected in the
curriculum?
3) How do educators interested in issues related to the Asian diaspora
navigate themselves in the current system?
Here are some of the ways you can participate:
 attend the roundtable and share your thoughts with us
 write a statement (1-2 pages) on your opinions and thoughts about the above
questions**
 help spread the word—give this flyer to a friend or family member and ask them
to participate
Deadline for submission of written statements: Thursday, May 12, 2005
**If you can’t attend the roundtable, or if you don’t want to be identified in
person, send us your statement (maximum two pages) by email or snail mail
