Owing to the sensitive nature of our environment it is a requirement for prospective Cadets to
disclose all convictions, including “spent” convictions. Volunteering with West Mercia Police
Cadets is covered by the exemption order of 1975 relating to section 4(2) and section 4(3)(b) of
the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A police vetting procedure will be carried out for that
purpose.
