Performing, visual, literary & craft art forms are introduced to students in engaging groups. Workshops stir imaginations, motivating students to concentrate & focus, set & achieve goals & improve confidence, test taking & presentation skills! “JUST DANCE” Students work with choreographers to learn various dance forms & skills, connecting artistic expression to physical fitness & cultural appreciation, interpreting song lyrics, researching musical artists & applying sequencing & other math concepts to music. DRAMA THERAPY! Mediation & Conflict Resolution Violence & Substance Abuse Prevention. Professionals inspire students through role play & real life experiences & events to address issues, express feelings, resolve conflict, issues & self destructive behaviors. Participants practice creative writing and critical thinking. They may keep journals & share stories, which nurtures mental wellness while improving communication and listening skills. POETIC JUSTICE Poets introduce students to the power of words. Discussing style, content and use of the English language from generation to generation, students select topics, put their feelings into words and create poetry of their own. Artists inspire students to be pro-active in their communities, designing vocabulary words to get their messages across, becoming spoken word artists in their own right! Workshops culminate in poetic readings. VIDEO VIBES The art of video making reaches an all time high when students are in front of or behind the camera! Here they work with video artists to create original works such as commercials, talk shows or school news. They will learn how to interview, develop scripts and handle the camera. Workshops conclude in a finished video product. 3rd EYE Crafts * Jewelry Design Professional artists will fascinate students as they teach them how to use imagery to discover their ability to turn their thoughts and feelings into works of art! Students may construct & decorate crafts and design jewelry from precious stones. Workshops culminate in beautiful art exhibits. Professional INSPIRATION Leadership & Life Skills This gender and/or age specific series inspires healthy behaviors & attitudes of responsibility, self awareness, self respect and self reliance, encouraging students to fully explore their hearts and minds before making life defining decisions. Students are presented with tools and strategies that will help bring them to discovering their own individual greatness! Personal is Professional! & *Love Yourself Leadership Retreats Experience an upstate overnight or 1-2 day city seminar that motivates students, parents and professionals to have a more powerful, happier, healthier journey through their life and career. This activity filled trip may include meals, hotel, transportation, developmental workshops, goal setting, action plans, team building, soul searching, journals, social etiquette, mental, spiritual & physical wellness & perhaps, a pool party! GirlSpirit! Leadership through Performing Arts based workshops successfully improve a girls mind, spirit & body image by focusing on Artistic Expression, Public Speaking and Social Etiquette. This intensive school year program concludes in a formal GirlSpirit Pageant, exemplifying her growing journey from girlhood to young womanhood. 8 Ball Conference and Co-Ed Conversations, Engages students in thought provoking discussions and conversations, that motivate them to see, feel and think from different perspectives. Seminars provide a “safe place” for exploration with experts in various industries. Students are presented with the “how to’s” of reputable life & career ideas, from college to entrepreneurship. S.O.S Saving Our Sons This Rites of Passage Program guides males through a healthy, positive evolution from boyhood to manhood. Young men partake in a wide arena of learning from how to tie a necktie, to how to properly address women and girls to understanding subliminal messages in the music. SOS influences young men to bust the stereotypes and become responsible, respectful, forward thinking men.
