The Best Design Awards
The Designers Institute celebrates the best of best in design for that year with the Best Design
Awards. It has become known as the ‘Oscars’ for design.

This awards programme for Graphics, Interactive, Product and Spatial design attracts
entries from all over New Zealand, and Australia and is open to members and nonmembers.

Best has also introduced to the Awards programme two new awards - the Nga Aho
Award (cultural collaborations) and the Best Effect Award. (how design was effective to
the success of the business outcome)


Design in Business Awards
The Designers Institute is leading edge with the Design in Business Awards programme. The
Institute, in partnership with Better by Design, at an awards ceremony, celebrate businesses that use
design insights that lead to innovation, and promote businesses that have made a strategic investment
in forming and maintaining design cultures.

Corporate Members will be kept informed on the Call for Entries of these important
awards whereby you will be able to encourage your clients to submit their entry into this
awards programme.

The Designers Institute supports the Dyson Product Design Award and provides judges selected from
our Professional Membership.
