CW 18 / My 24 Funjet Vacations Mexico Trip Giveaway Contest
Who Can Enter
1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be U.S. or Wisconsin
residents who are 21 years of age or older and reside in the WVTV/WCGV-TV
viewing area.
2. Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc.,
Milwaukee Television, LLC, and any other company which owns, programs or
provides other services to television broadcast stations WVTV & WCGV (the
“Stations”), Funjet Vacations, The Mark Travel Corporation, La Macchia Enterprises,
and their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local
television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and
the immediate family members and those living in the same household of each are
ineligible. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, grandparents, parents,
siblings and their respective spouses, children and grandchildren.
How to Enter
(a) No purchase is necessary to enter. Only one entry per person.
(b) To enter, visit the WCGV or WVTV booth area inside Southridge Mall located at
5300 S 76th St, Greendale, WI 53129, pick up a “passport” entry form, and have the
“passport” entry form stamped at the following booth area locations in Southridge Mall:
WCGV, WVTV, New Berlin Hills Golf Course, and Gruber Law Offices. List your
name, address, telephone number, birth date, and email address in the provided area, and
drop off the “passport” at the WCGV or WVTV booth area. No mechanically reproduced
or completed entries will be accepted.
(c) The contest starts at 10:00 a.m. CDT on February 8, 2014, and all entries must be
received by 5:00 p.m. CDT on February 9, 2014 (the “Contest Period”), at the Stations’
booth area in the mall. Stations are not responsible for late, lost or misdirected entries,
printing errors, server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction.
(d) On February 11, 2014, one (1) grand prize winner will be randomly selected from
among all valid and correct entries received during the Contest Period.
(e) All entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, incorrect, illegible, or from
ineligible entrants will be void. All entries become the property of Sinclair Broadcast
Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., and the Stations, and will not be
acknowledged or returned.
The Prize(s)
1. One (1) grand prize winner will be selected. The winner will receive one (1) trip for
four (4) to Riviera Maya, Mexico, from Funjet Vacations, subject to Funjet’s terms and
conditions. The trip package includes (i) round-trip charter airfare for four (4) on
AirTran Airways/FrontierAirlines value flights from Milwaukee General Mitchell
International Airport or Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Winner must provide
transportation to and from airport. Winner subject to pay travel visa taxes (approximately
$130.00 per person) prior to travel; (ii) four (4) nights hotel accomodations at the allinclusive Riu Palace Riviera Maya (2 rooms, double occupancy), (iii) roundtrip
airport/hotel transfers once in Mexico, iv) food and beverages at the hotel, with the
exception of high-end sold premium food or alcohol packages. The trip package does not
include any gratuities, spa treatments, trip cancellation insurance, other transportation,
baggage fees, miscellaneous airline fees, water sports, excursions, or any other meals or
expenses. The trip must be booked within forty-five (45) days of claiming the prize, and
must be taken by May 24, 2015; is subject to availability; blackout dates and holiday
exceptions apply. Confirmation will be given on a space available basis only. Once a
reservation is made, no changes are permitted. The trip package is valued at
approximately five thousand dollars ($5,000). Winner and guests are responsible for
researching travel restrictions and warnings for traveling outside of the U.S. and
obtaining a valid passport to travel.
2. The grand prize winner will be notified by email or telephone on or about February
12, 2014. Before claiming prize, winner must provide his/her correct name, address and
telephone number to Stations at the time of notification. Winner must sign and return a
release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within (two) 2 business days
of notification, at the time winner claims his/her prize in person at the Station; Monday
through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. CDT, located at 11520 W. Calumet Rd,
Milwaukee, WI 53224. All persons traveling on the trip must be 21 years of age or over,
unless travelers under 21 are accompanied by at least one adult who is the parent or legal
guardian of all of the minors. All persons traveling on the trip must also sign and return a
release which must be returned with the winner’s release and affidavit of eligibility
within the time frame specified above. Winner must show picture identification to claim
prize. Stations reserve the right to examine additional identification and may choose to
accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented. By entering the
contest, all entrants agree that Stations and Funjet Vacations have the sole right to decide
all matters and disputes arising from the contest, and their determination of the winner is
final.
3. If the winner cannot be notified within two (2) business days, or does not timely sign
and return the release and affidavit of eligibility, then the prize will be forfeited, and the
prize will be awarded to an alternate winner randomly selected from among remaining
valid entries.
4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole
discretion of Station. The Station, sponsors, or the prize provider has the right to
substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
5. Each winner is responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on
prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules. Winner
must complete and sign a Form W-9.
6. Milwaukee Television, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., and Sinclair Television
Group, Inc., are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its
obligations to furnish its portion of the prize. The Station, sponsors, and prize provider
shall not be responsible for winner’s failure to take the trip within the time frame
described above, or cancellation of the trip by the winner.
7. Milwaukee Television, LLC, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., and Sinclair Television
Group, Inc., are not responsible for any liability arising directly or indirectly from the
award or use of the prize.
8. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that Milwaukee Television, LLC, Sinclair
Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Funjet Vacations, The Mark
Travel Corporation, La Macchia Enterprises, and their subsidiaries, affiliates, sales
representatives, distributors, and advertising and promotional agencies have the right to
use and publicize winner’s proper name, state of residence, character, likeness,
photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for advertising, promotional
purposes on-line, on TV, and in print, or in any other media worldwide in connection
with the Contest, without limitation and without additional financial remuneration except
where prohibited.
Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous
1. Odds of winning depend on the number of valid entries received.
2. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business
hours at WVTV/WCGV-TV, 11520 W. Calumet Rd., Milwaukee, WI 53224, and on the
Stations’ website(s) at www.cw18milwaukee.com and www.my24milwaukee.com.
3. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to Funjet
Vacations Mexico Trip Giveaway Contest, WVTV/WCGV-TV, 11520 W. Calumet Rd.,
Milwaukee, WI 53224, by February 28, 2014.
4. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where
prohibited. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Milwaukee
Television, LLC, Funjet Vacations, The Mark Travel Corporation, and La Macchia
Enterprises accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or
damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any
prize awarded hereunder.
5. By entering this contest, each entrant waives any and all claims of liability against the
Stations, any sponsors, and their respective parents, affiliates, officers, directors,
employees and agents, for any and all claims, loss, damage or injury which may occur as
a result of entrant’s participation in this contest.
6. Stations cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest
information.
7. Stations reserve the right to make rules and contest changes, and change the
aforementioned contest dates.
