Each Article is broken into Sections - Article IV – Relationships between States - 4 Sections - Section 1- Sharing of Information - Each State shall share information with the other states. - Goods, Money, Credit, Laws, Records. - Section 2 – Rights of State Citizens - Citizens of each state shall be entitled to the rights of the Nation and to the State. - Anyone committing a crime in one state and then fleeing to another, shall be returned to the original state. - Anyone held in service or labor in one state, and then flees to another state, shall be returned to the original state - Section 3 – Admission of new states - Congress may allow for the addition of new states, provided the current states agree and no boundary law are infringed - Congress has the power to make laws and have jurisdiction in states and territories of the United States. - Section 4 – Guarantee of Government - Every state, current and future shall be guaranteed a representative government and shall be protected by the other states and National government. - Article V – Amendment Procedures – 1 Section - Section 1 – Amendment procedures - When ever 2/3 of Congress deems it necessary, Amendments shall be considered. - When ever 3/4 of the states, or 3/4 of a Convention approve of the Amendment, the Amendment shall become added. - Amendment can not violate the rights of people or the states. - Each state has the right to be represented during the process of adding an Amendment. - Article VI – Power of the Constitution and Federal Laws – 1 Section - Section 1 – Power of the Constitution and Federal laws - Any debt or deals entered into prior to the creation of the Name: __________________________________________ Constitution of the United States – Article IV, V, VI, VII Constitution, shall be honored. - The Constitution and the laws within it, shall be the highest law and word of the land.
