With that being said, we will be holding a Regional Training in Palm Springs, California that builds on similar training held in Orlando, but does not duplicate it. The Training in Palm Springs will begin on Monday, November 10th – Thursday, November 13th, 2014, (with travel days being Sunday, November 9th and Friday, November 14th). All participants will receive training on Legislative Issues and VA Issues on Tuesday, November 11th (a federal holiday) Representational Time and Key Articles of the Master Agreement on Thursday November 13th, and either Advanced Title 38 Training or Issues Facing VBA on Monday, November 10th and Wednesday November 12th. Time will be set aside on the afternoon of November 11th to discuss specific issues with the instructors. A copy of the draft agenda is attached. Please mail payment to the NVAC office at 1970 Roanoke Blvd. (Bldg. 76, Room 106), Salem, VA 24153; ATTN: Dorothy Jefferson. Each Local will be responsible for travel, lodging and per diem expenses. The training will take place at the Hilton Palm Springs, located at 400 East Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262 and the phone number is (800) 445-8667. The rate is $105 (+ tax). The group code is National Veterans Affairs Council and the cut-off date is Friday, October 17th, 2014. Official time for this training is appropriate under Article 4, Section 1 of the Master Agreement.
