CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ANNUAL 2010 HOME SHOW
The Home Show will be held in conjunction with the Sparta Community Hospital
Health Fair next year. These events will take place at the World Shooting and
Recreational Complex on January 30, from 10-4 and on January 31, from 11-3.
An entry form is included in this newsletter, be sure if you want to take part in
the Home Show to fill out and return the application to the office or Michael
Hayes at Health Options.

MEMBERSHIP DUES
Letters have been sent out to current members, past members and future
members. We thank you who have already sent in your dues payment and
membership package preference. For those who haven’t replied yet, please take
a moment to fill out your application and mail your check to the Chamber. This
newsletter will have a page dedicated to the 2010 members. If you wish to see
your business included in the February newsletter, please get your dues in by
January 31. If you wish to join, and can’t find your application, you can get one
on the Chamber website, www.spartailchamber.com or call the office and one
will be sent to you.
2010 ANNUAL DINNER
The date for the annual dinner has been set for Saturday, April 10. The
committee will be meeting and are looking for a speaker for the meeting and
decide upon the location of the dinner. More details will be sent, as we receive
them.
FACEBOOK
The Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce is now on Facebook. To become a fan of
the Chamber, please go to the Website and click on the Facebook link. The
Facebook page is updated with events and news on a weekly basis. If you have
any ideas or comments be sure to enter those there too. This is read on a
regular basis and all ideas and comments will be taken into consideration by the
Board.
2009 COMMEMORATIVE COINS
Don’t forget to pick up your 2009 Grand American commemorative coin. If you
have not picked up your coin or made arrangements with the office to pick up at
the Grand American this year; your numbered coin will not be available. We will
be organizing our numbered coin list in February, so be sure to get in touch with
us. If you are no longer interested in collecting these coins, please let us know.
2010 will mark the 5th Anniversary of the Grand American being held in Sparta.
If you don’t have a collector’s set of the first 4 coins, we still have some
available. These sets sell for $170, put your order in soon as there are limited
amounts of these sets, and they will not be offered again.
CHAMBER PAGE
The Sparta Chamber Page will be found in the County Journal this year. They
will start covering the Chamber Page this month. We welcome the opportunity
to work the people at the County Journal and feel this will be advantageous for
all involved. We will still be sending new items to the Sparta News-Plaindealer
involving current events.
OFFICE HOURS
Due to the fact that I will be having back surgery on January 26, the office will
be closed that week and the next week. I will be available to handle phone calls
and emails after Thursday, the 28th. I should be home from the hospital and
plan to work from home on the Chamber business until I can return to the
office. If any emergency should come up, please contact Michael Hayes or Eric
Rieckenberg.
