CHRISTMAS PARADE
The 2009 Annual “Lighted Christmas Parade” was held November 28. Hope
everyone came out and enjoyed it. Thank you to everyone who helped prepare
and was in the Parade.
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ANNUAL 2010 HOME SHOW
The Home Show will be held in conjunction with the Sparta Community Hospital
Health Fair next year. These events will take place at the World Shooting and
Recreational Complex on January 30, from 10-4 and on January 31, from 11-3.
An entry form is included in this newsletter, be sure if you want to take part in
the Home Show to fill out and return the application to the office or Michael
Hayes at Health Options. Be sure to return entry form by December 15 to be
listed on the Early Bird Promotional Flyers.
MEMBERSHIP DUES
The 2010 membership applications and information have been mailed out to all
current members and past members. We hope you will decide to join the
Chamber again next year. Membership fees will be due by December 31, 2009.
There are two membership packages offered again this year: Advantage $600
annually or $300 bi-annually; General $120 annually or $60 bi-annually. We still
offer the Non-profit and Senior memberships. There are new application forms
this year asking for more information. This is to bring our records up to date and
to be able to announce business anniversaries and business owners/employees
birth dates in the monthly newsletter. Please note on birth dates, no years are
asked just month.

GINGERBREAD HOUSE CONTEST
The Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Gingerbread House
Decorating Contest again this year. The theme for the houses this year will be
“HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS”.
The houses are on display at these locations from December 1 through
December 14: Sparta Banking Center, First National Bank of Sparta, and
Chester National Bank.
Be sure to stop by these locations and vote for your favorite House.

Sparta High School’s Larry Stork’s Wood Shop Class for cutting out the new
Gingerbread Men and Terry Waldron’s Art Class for painting the Gingerbread
Men.
Thank you to Charlie and Deb Kelley for the picket fence surrounding the house.
The Kelleys repaired, painted and installed the fence.
The new additions really spruced up Santa’s temporary home.
