Prov 10:19 “When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise.
Another version says: “Where there is much talk there will be no end to sin, but he who keeps his
mouth shut does wisely.”
1 peter 1:15 “ As He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.” God desires
us to become more and more like Him by the power of the Spirit and that includes growing in
holiness in our speech.
Proverbs 18:21 “The tongue has the power of life or death. “
James 3:8 “no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.”
James 3:10 “From the same mouth come blessing and cursing, these should not be.”
