Update on FAN 915-248
Background: We have found two issues with the current service software, which have initiated new
software versions:
1.
After introduction of a new type cuvette in the hemolyzer, the Complete Oximetri test in
the ABL7XX and ABL8XX could fail the Cavitation absorbance test with a perfectly good cuvette.
2.
Limits in the Inlet service program for ABL8XX were tighter than the limits in the normal
inlet program. This could result in a failed calibration in the service program even the ABL has performed
correctly in normal use. Limits mentioned in the service manual will be updated.
Action: We recommend that software versions 3.834 and 5.26 are replaced with versions 3.835 and 5.27
respectively for upcoming upgrades.
For analyzers already upgraded we recommend that they are upgraded at the next service visit.
If the analyzer needs to have the Hemolyzer replaced the software MUST be upgraded.
The software will be available under the following part numbers shortly:
- ABL700 version 3.835 part number 914-848
- ABL800 version 5.27 part number 914-849
Instructions on how to download the software are included.
Documentation:
This does not change the originally set deadlines for the FAN.

unpacking the contained files. (Must be an empty folder)
- Burn the unpacked files on a CD. Make sure that the file structure of the CD looks EXACTLY as below.
