Taught at the University of New Brunswick, Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada from
2001 to 2006.
Taught at the Royal University for Women, West Riffa, AlMuasker Highway 942, Kingdom
of Bahrain from 2007 to August 31, 2014.

10. Hon ors, Award and Grants:
Dr. Selim was given an award recognizing him as the best faculty member in the Faculty of
Business and Financial Sciences in 2008-09 by the Students’ Council of the Royal University for
Women.
Awarded "Chancellor's Gold Medal "for the Inter-University Essay Competition titled

"Manpower Planning and Development Activities" .
Awarded Gold Medal for securing First place in order of merit in Higher Secondary Certificate
(H.S.C.) Examination.
Awarded University Grants Commission Scholarship for securing First position in the first class
(combinedly) in B.Sc.(Honours) Economics with highest marks in the Faculty of Social Science.
Awarded successive merit scholarships--one for each of the following examinations: (i)
Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.) (ii) Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.) and (iii) B.Sc.
(Honours)--and on every occasion the scholarship continued for the entire duration of the next
program of studies.
Awarded merit scholarship from the foundation of Professor Kartsakils Memorial Scholarship
at Dalhousie University in 1992/93.
On the occasions of National Day Celebrations of Bahrain in December, 2008, the Student
Council of the Royal University for Women, on behalf of its students, presented an award to
Dr. Mohammad Selim for being a wonderful role model to all Business Students in the Faculty
of Business, Royal University for Women, Kingdom of Bahrain.
Research Grants:
1. Awarded research grants from the University of New Brunswick for conducting
research on “The Impact of Air Pollution on Health and Healthcare Costs”. This
project was funded by the University of New Brunswick during the period of
October 2002 to April 2003.
2. Awarded research grants from the University of New Brunswick for conducting
research on “The Impact of Healthcare Expenditures on Life Expectancy” in 2002-2003.

6. On 29th April 2014, I took my students to Bahrain Bourse and the students had an
excellent exposure to stock market and its functioning. They became very interested in
