Senior User Interface/Visual Designer - iPad
Apple – Cupertino, CA
Contractor | May 2013 to Present
Worked in the Mobile Commerce Division to design new and innovative solutions to
activate iPhones for a new app developed for the iPad platform. Deliverables included
site maps, flows, storyboards, conceptual designs, visual design, wireframes and
prototypes with detailed functional specifications. Required to thoroughly understand the
iOS Human Interface Guidelines, specific Carrier activation processes, the tasks they
are trying to accomplish and the environments in which they work, ensuring designs are
based on real user behavior. Applied best practices of user-centered design to create a
consistent look-and-feel for Apple, wireframes, comps, workflows and potentially
prototypes that are user friendly, visually appealing and technically feasible. Was
required to clearly communicate conceptual ideas, designs and rationale to
stakeholders/ teammates, incorporate constructive feedback/ criticism, and make
decisions as appropriate to reduce design debate. Provided deliverables that product
managers can present, developers can code, and testers can test. Worked closely and
