It allows you to record and prioritise training identified for your staff. By identifying priorities you can make sure that the most important training gets done first. The completed form will show the training and development staff working in your setting need in order to carry out their jobs effectively and develop to their full potential, benefiting themselves, you (manager/employer) and the children and families you support. It is a working document that you need to review regularly, and you should use it to support induction processes, staff appraisals and the continuing professional development of all your staff.
