Consultant and Project Manager for the OLAP department at EJS/Hugur,
Iceland
Work as a consultant in Business Intelligence solutions helping the customer to
analyze the data in the ERP system. The scope of my work is broad, all the way
from designing the marketing plan, finding customers, closing sales to managing the
project. The main products that I have been working with are Proclarity, Cognos
and Pivot tables in Excel. These products allow the customer to do track results
and do ad-hoc reports in a timely manner.
Houselist and Systems Analyst at Checks Unlimited, Colorado, USA
Maintained the integrity and availability of houselist data utilizing comprehensive
system audit procedures. Assisted in the development of the Checks' houselist
systems to meet the objectives of business analysis, contact strategy and
forecasting. Checks Unlimited has 1500 employees and 24 million customers. Was
involved in reaching the goal of gaining 3,8 million customers this year. Validated
accuracy and managed loading of specific sets of marketing data. Made sure that
the business requirements were met in our Telephone Order System (TOS),
Marketing Application, Customer Order Entry application, and Business Checks
application that are were deployed in October 1999. Validated the information that
came out of the Business Analysis Database against the Customer Service
Database. Was involved in planning the Web site interface with our back-end
systems, houselist and demographic database. Participated in the development,
testing, training and documentation of information systems projects affecting or
utilizing housefile data.

International Marketing Manager at Maharishi Ayur-Ved Products International,
Inc. (MAPI). Responsible for the international department. With distributors in 39
countries, my job involved marketing, public relations, order entry, trouble-shooting,
export management, and order follow-up.
In addition, I created management reports, incremental sales reports, profit
analysis reports, etc. I implemented new growth strategies, analyzed database
mailings and profitability overall. Being a project leader, I interfaced with the art
department, copy department, printer and the marketing director for creating
schedules and budgets for projects.
Intern at SIEMENS AG, Unterschleissheim, Munich (dept. Air Traffic
Management). Involved in designing offers and developing contracts for the airtraffic control authorities in Eastern Europe and Russia. Corporate design and
translations.
BMW AG, BMW Magazine, Munich, Germany. Evaluated questionnaires that
concerned the BMW magazine helped in designing the layout and was involved in
other direct marketing activities.
Intern at BMW AG, Munich (dept. R2-NO). This department is responsible for
the importers and subsidiaries in North-East Europe. Made an economic analysis
for the Scandinavian countries, looked for market shares of the competitors in
each model class, conducted research and designed graphs and charts.
