Eligibility
Open to students from Iranian universities, including
Amir Kabir University of Technology,
Isfahan University of Technology,
Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and Health Services,
Sharif University of Technology,
Shiraz University,
Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, and
Tehran University

Applicants should constitute the top 15% of their cohort or have a minimum GPA of 15 out
of 20 under the Iranian system of grading, as well as obtain good reports from their
academic referees

Candidates who are non-graduates of Iranian universities should have a UK First Class
Honours degree or a GPA of 3.8 and above from US universities
-
Candidates should have a good command of English and submit their TOEFL results if
possible

Applications will open from 1 December 04 - 31 January 05 (for studies commencing July 05).
Applicants will apply through an A*STAR IGS Application Form (common application form for NTU,
available on-line) to be submitted through their Iranian Universities’ International Affairs Office.
Applications will be assessed by the respective Iranian Universities, then forwarded to A*STAR for
screening before being forwarded to NTU for consideration for admission. A*STAR will be awarding
up to 12 IGS scholarships at NTU per intake.
