Koha Ditore reports that Kosovo is not rejecting the possibility that Serbian citizens
entering Kosovo will also be equipped with temporary paper number plates. Minister
of Interior Affairs, Bajram Rexhepi, said that if instituted it would only be after a
government decision. He did not show himself decisive, but he did not reject this
possibility when asked about it. “We will see about this. In the agreement there is a
provision which allows Kosovo to take reciprocity measures. Until now there has been
no decision, if a decision is taken then this will be also implemented”, said the
Minister for Koha Ditore. The agreement between Kosovo and Serbia does not allow
vehicles with RKS number plates to enter Serbia without replacement plates.
Sejdiu: I am under “pressure” to return to Presidency (Koha Ditore)
Koha Ditore reports that the “President of honour” of LDK, Fatmir Sejdiu did not
reject the possibility of running for the position of President of Republic of Kosovo
for the third time. He says that he is under pressure to do so from some members of
the LDK. In a recent interview he gave, he also confirmed the cable from Wikileaks,
in which Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi requested m him to come out with a statement
to reject the claims of Nazim Bllaca that politics was behind the war crimes after the
war. He emphasized that this was not the first time he has been requested to make
such statements.
Stefanovic: Soon border crossings without insurance taxes (Koha Ditore)
Koha Ditore reports that the head of the Serbian negotiation team in the dialogue
between Kosovo and Serbia, Borislav Stefanovic, announced that very soon citizens
will not pay insurance taxes at the border crossings with Kosovo, because a technical
agreement with the insurance associations of Serbia and Kosovo will be signed. This
agreement will enable the mutual acceptance of insurances without prejudging
Kosovo status, said Stefanovic to Tanjug.
AAK: Illegal services have not been abolished (Koha Ditore)
Koha Ditore reports that lack of results in abolishing illegal networks and security
structures and intelligence structures in Kosovo is a failure for the security of the
country, according to AAK officials, reports REL. The General Secretary of this party,
Burim Ramadani, a Deputy of the Kosovo Assembly and member of the Commission
for Monitoring of Kosovar Intelligence Agency, said that any kind of network and
security structures and intelligence in Kosovo, apart from the Kosovar Intelligence
Agency are illegal and criminal. Despite this, according to him, networks and security
intelligence structures continue to be present in Kosovo. “Failure is the existence of

Corruption leaves Kosovo without “Mercedes” (Zëri)
Zëri reports that the German automobile maker Mercedes has decided that from the
beginning of next month not to sell vehicles to the Kosovo Government. Trustful
sources of Zëri newspaper say that the authorized dealers of Mercedes in Kosovo
cannot sell vehicles to Kosovo institutions. Any public bids should be negotiated with
Mercedes representatives from Stuttgart in Germany, said the company.
Rexhepi: Operation in the north, the greatest KP success (Koha Ditore)
Koha Ditore reports that Kosovo Police through two solemn ceremonies has revealed
its challenges and successes during the year 2011, which according to them, was a
very successful year. KP said the operation in the north of the country was its greatest
success, as it enabled control over the two border points, Jarinje and Bërnjak.
According to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Bajram Rexhepi, this year will be
remembered with this action. “During the 2011, KP faced many challenges and
difficulties, which were successfully overcome, thanks to the determination and
sacrifice of the police. 2011 marks a success and will be remembered as a year when
KP united and made the entire country proud with the operation in the north of the
country. I congratulate you for a splendid work during the entire year,” said Rexhepi.
Valley Albanians react against the border tariffs (Koha Ditore)
Koha Ditore reports that professional representatives of the Presevo Valley have
reacted harshly against the border tariffs between Kosovo and Serbia. Head of the
Bujanovc Municipal Assembly, Jonuz Musliu, who is also leader of the Movement for
Democratic Progress, considers that tariffs do not make sense and that they are even
discriminating for Albanians of the Presevo Valley. “We have hailed the signing of
the agreement for integrated management of the border between Kosovo and Serbia,
as a positive step towards Euro-Atlantic integrations, but not the establishment of
border tariffs, which affect Albanians of the Presevo Valley the most,” said Musliu.
