Calculator: A TI-83/84 is required. Other types of calculators will not be allowed. The mathematics department, room 142, offers calculator rental for $25/entire semester. Course Work: Online Homework 20%, Chapter Quizzes 30%, Midterm 30%, Final Exam 20%. Online Homework: You must obtain a MyStatLab access code. You can purchase it with the textbook from the university bookstore or purchase it online. You will need to get access as soon as possible because the assignments will have a due date. You have unlimited number of attempts on an assignment, just make sure to submit your work once completed. Late submission is subject to Penalty is 50% per day from final score. Chapter Quizzes : 10-20 minutes each and will be given in class. No makeup quizzes. Midterm: MWF Class: Monday March 4th. TR Class: Thursday Feb 28th. Makeup for midterm will only be given when a documented excused absence is provided. Arrangements must be made within 2days (weekends and holidays count) of the midterm day. Comprehensive Final Exam: Final exam will NOT be given at any other time. Grading Scale: The percentage of your course work determines your course grade in accordance with: 90%-100% A 80%-89% B 70%-79% C 60%-69% D Below 60% F Attendance: You are expected to be in class daily.
