I am very passionate about our chapter and love being a part of a great group of volunteer leaders. We have been listening to your feedback and working hard all summer to get good quality speakers to present to our group. I am proud of the schedule we came up with and I think you will be too. Some of the highlights are: Goodwill fraud story – told by the CEO and chief “storyteller” Bob Pederson, as well as their former controller, Carol Braun, the individual who embezzled the money from the organization. They will share their story of betrayal and coming full circle in September. An Integrys VP, Joel Jansen – will share his thorough knowledge of negotiation skills in October. This will be great for students and professionals alike as keen negotiation skills are important for everyone to have. Tour of the Fox Cities Stadium (home of the Timber Rattlers) and discussion on Sports Accounting – this will be a joint meeting with our neighboring chapter to the south, the Winnebagoland IMA chapter in November. Dr. Rai from Prevea – an accomplished young medical professional in the community and CEO of Prevea will give us an update on all the new healthcare trends in January. Internet security expert – with all the internet security breaches in recent months, we’ll hear from Curt Esser, an independent IT consultant about the hidden dangers of being online in March. Six Sigma expert – we’ll have a master black belt share ideas on how to incorporate Six Sigma into your workplace to continually increase efficiency. Join us in April to learn how your organization can do more with less. There are so many great topics this year. I encourage you to join us for each and every meeting and share your feedback on how to continually improve our chapter to serve our members.
